Atomy Charity Golf Tournament June 21, 2026
Atomy-Sponsored a Charity Golf Tournament held to support Pediatric Cancer patients.
A meaningful event that strengthened the Korean-American community in Newport News, VA.
Despite taking place on Father’s Day, June 21, a total of 52 golfers gathered at Kiln Creek Golf
Club in Newport News, VA, to support a young life courageously fighting pediatric cancer.
Held under clear skies, the charity golf tournament was sponsored by Atomy America, the U.S.
branch of Atomy, a leading global direct selling company from Korea. The event was organized with
the leadership of the Peninsula Korean Women’s Association and the Korean Senior Association,
along with the active participation and heartfelt support of the local Korean-American community.
Many local Korean-American families joined the event, making the day even more meaningful. Following
the golf tournament, participants gathered for a dinner and awards ceremony, where a donation of
$2,000 was presented to Ms. Eunhye Wilson, the mother of Hana, a young pediatric cancer patient.
This fundraising effort was more than a simple donation. It became a touching moment
of unity, showing how a local community can come together to support a neighbor in need.
Through the participation of many volunteers, golfers, families, and community members,
the event reflected the spirit of compassion, service, and shared responsibility.
Pastor Sungwook Jang of Siloam Church, who led the closing prayer, shared his heartfelt
hope that this young child would overcome the frightening illness of cancer. He also
encouraged the Korean-American community to continue coming together,
supporting one another, and building a stronger and more active community.
Because the tournament was held on Father’s Day, the event also became an opportunity
to reflect on the meaning of family, the value of life, and the importance of standing
together during difficult times. The gathering concluded as a meaningful occasion that
reaffirmed the Korean-American community’s spirit of solidarity, generosity, and care.
Royal Master Woosoo Park, who actively supported the event, shared, “This tournament was prepared with
the heart of giving back to society, in line with the founding spirit of Atomy. Thanks to the active participation
and cooperation of many people, we were able to hold a truly meaningful event.” She added, “Atomy America
will continue to take the lead in caring for and supporting neighbors who are going through difficult times.”
