Atomy Can Fulfill Anything Beyond the Ordinary
‘평범’을 넘어선 그 무엇, 애터미가 채워 줄 수 있어

애터미 통해 꿈과 희망을 이뤄 나가고 있기에 만족해
When asked why she chose Atomy, Diamond Master Irina Kurbangaleeva replied, “I thought Atomy would be a great opportunity to achieve my dreams and unlock the leadership potential in myself."
“애터미는 제 안에 숨겨진 ‘리더십’이라는 잠재력을 발휘해 꿈을 이룰 수 있는 좋은 기회라고 생각했습니다.” 이리나 쿠르반갈레예바 다이 아몬드마스터의 말이다. 그는 애터미를 선택한 이유를 묻는 질문에 이렇게 답했다.
“애터미는 제 안에 숨겨진 ‘리더십’이라는 잠재력을 발휘해 꿈을 이룰 수 있는 좋은 기회라고 생각했습니다.” 이리나 쿠르반갈레예바 다이 아몬드마스터의 말이다. 그는 애터미를 선택한 이유를 묻는 질문에 이렇게 답했다.
Great Potential Doesn’t Come With the Ordinary
Diamond Master Irina Kurbangaleeva is actively engaged in the Atomy business in Russia, the largest country in the world. Before meeting Atomy, she graduated from Far Eastern State Transport University and worked in bookkeeping and law before getting a job at Russian Railways. Russian Railways is one of the most stable jobs among public enterprises in Russia with a monthly salary of about 1.2 million KRW, which is a significant amount considering that Russia’s average monthly income last year was about 800,000 KRW.
After quitting this “dream job” that any Russian would dream of, Irina boldly started the Atomy business in April 2018. Even though she had had the opportunity for promotion, she did not think her potential would shine through by settling for the ordinary. Diamond Master Irina Kurbangaleeva believed that Atomy could fulfill that something beyond just the ordinary.
“Others around me even said I was crazy. Why would I leave a stable job behind and take the hard road? But to succeed, I wanted to take the road less traveled because I thought it would be difficult to succeed in the same way as others do. Atomy appealed to me in this sense.”
Taking a different path from others seems grand, but it is not easy. She also faced two obstacles: studying products that were unfamiliar and economic difficulties.

세계에서 가장 큰 영토를 가진 나라, 러시아에서 활발하게 사업을 전개하고 있는 이리나 쿠르반갈레예바 다이아몬드마스터는 애터미를 만나기 전 국립 극동 교통대학교를 졸업한 후 경리와 변호사 등을 거쳐 러시아 철도청에서 근무했다. 러시아 철도청은 러시아에서도 손꼽히는안정적인 공기업 중 하나이다. 월급 또한 한화로 약 120만 원 수준으로, 지난해 러시아의 평균 임금이 약 80만원 수준임을 고려하면 상당한 액수라 할 수 있다.

Hard to Feel Ownership of Unfamiliar Products
“In the early days of the business, I had to face struggles in certain aspects of my life as my fi xed income disappeared. It was also challenging to have to learn about products that were new to me. HemoHIM was especially hard because Russians are not used to the smell and taste of it. The raw ingredients are developed by recombining or recreating the extracts of Angelica Radix, Cnidium Officinale, and Paeonia Japonica. In my case, they were unfamiliar plants and ingredients that I had never heard of, so I had to study them one by one because you have to be knowledgeable about something to tell others.”

낯선 제품, 내 것 만들기가 어려워
“사업 초기에는 고정적인 수입이 사라지면서 생활 전반적인 부분에 어려움을 겪어야 했습니다. 또한 낯선 제품들을 공부해야 한다는 점도 무척 어려웠습니다. 특히 ‘헤모힘’은 러시아인들에게 익숙하지 않은 맛과 향을가지고 있어 쉽지 않았어요. 원료도 당귀, 천궁, 백작약 등 식물 성분을 재조합 또는 재구성해 개발한 성분이잖아요. 제 경우에는 접해본 적이 없는 낯선 식물과성분들이다 보니 하나하나 공부해야만 됐어요. 제대로알아야 다른 사람들에게도 전할 수 있으니까요.”
이러한 난관을 그는 오히려 ‘성숙해지는 과정’이라 여기며 어려움을 피하기보다 당당히 부딪혔다. 마음과 삶에인내라는 뿌리가 내리면 성공이라는 풍성한 열매를 맺을 수 있을 것이란 확신이 있었기 때문이다.
그 결과 자전거의 원리를 깨닫고 혼자서 신나게 자전거의 페달을 밟는 아이처럼 사업에 자신감이 붙기 시작했다. 그리고 그를 따르는 파트너들도 하나둘 생겨나기시작했고 지금은 제법 안정적인 기반은 물론 시간적인여유까지 생겼다.
“애터미 만난 후 바뀐 삶이요? 아무래도 가족들과 보내는 시간이 많아졌어요. 가장 가까이 있지만 소홀하기 쉬운 게 가족이잖아요. 그동안 일터에서의 삶에 가장 많은 시간을 들여 살아왔다면 지금은 애터미 사업 이외에 남는 시간을 가족들과 함께 보내는 데 모두쏟고 있어요. 그만큼 여유가 생겼다는 의미 아니겠어요?(웃음)”
이러한 난관을 그는 오히려 ‘성숙해지는 과정’이라 여기며 어려움을 피하기보다 당당히 부딪혔다. 마음과 삶에인내라는 뿌리가 내리면 성공이라는 풍성한 열매를 맺을 수 있을 것이란 확신이 있었기 때문이다.

Earnest Dreams Drive Success
Irina says she is continuing to work on her business while reminding herself and her partners of the importance of motivation. Many people are not good at setting their dreams and goals or do not think much of it, but she considers this to be a motivation for success. “Just as buds bloom, I think people can bloom fully if they have dreams and goals. That is why I always try to encourage people as if they are flowers ready to bloom.” She is also very satisfied with the Atomy business because she believes that her dreams and hopes are becoming realized.
“I think Atomy is a gift and my destiny in life. My goal is to establish a small Greek Orthodox church in my hometown through the success of my Atomy business. There is no church there now, and even before Atomy, that had always been my dream, and I wanted to donate money, but never had the means. Now, I think it is a possibility through Atomy, and I am going to build a church with the income I earn from the business.” Irina also gave words of wisdom and encouragement to those who are new to the Atomy business. “I think it’s better to act without vague fear or bias. Russia is a country abounding with opportunities. If you do not rush it but think about taking it step by step, good results will definitely come your way.”

그는 현재 스스로, 또 파트너들에게 동기부여의 중요성을 항상 상기시키며 사업을 진행하고 있다고 전했다. 많은 사람들이 스스로의 꿈과 목표를 설정하는 데 서툴고 대수롭지 않게 생각하는데, 그는 이것이 성공의동기부여가 된다고 여기고 있는 것이다.
“새싹이 꽃을 피우는 것처럼 사람 또한 꿈과 목표를 가져야 만개할 수 있다고 생각합니다. 그렇기 때문에 항상 개화를 앞둔 꽃을 대하듯 사람들에게 동기부여를해주고 있습니다.”

“애터미는 제 삶에서 운명이자 선물이라고 생각합니다.제 목표는 애터미 사업의 성공을 통해 제 고향에 작은그리스 정교회 교회를 설립하는 것입니다. 제가 태어난고향 마을에는 아직 교회가 없거든요. 애터미 사업을하기 전부터 늘 꿈꿔 오며 기부라도 하고 싶었는데 여의치 못했습니다. 그런데 애터미를 통해서라면 가능하리라 생각해요. 애터미 사업을 통한 수입을 토대로 꼭교회를 설립할 거예요.”
그리고 새로이 애터미 사업을 시작한 사람들에게 애정어린 조언과 응원의 메시지도 전했다.
