Imperial Master Young-Sung Yoon is Atomy's very first member. Since then, a great number of Atomy business operators were produced and spread out all over the world. He has had a special relationship with Chairman Han-Gill Park for the past 50 years.

윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 애터미 회원번호 1번이다. 그로부터 시작해 수많은 애터미 사업자들이 탄생했고, 또 전 세계로 뻗어나갔다. 박한길 회장과는 50년이라는 오랜 기간 특별한 인연을 이어오고 있다.

After graduating from a national university of education, Imperial Master Young-Sung Yoon took his first step into society as a teacher at a rural elementary school. As a novice teacher, the educational environment of the rural schools was not easy, so he started attending Christian meetings to overcome his difficulties through the power of faith. It was there that he met a certain high school sophomore named Han-Gill Park. “He was a very religious and bright student.”
This student-teacher relationship continued on even after Yoon changed positions from an elementary teacher to a university professor. During that time, Han-Gill Park had also moved on from being a student to a businessman. Young-Sung Yoon was there when Park achieved great success with his business, and he also witnessed Park struggle through failure. Yoon always walked the path of an educator, but he was always there to help Park whenever he needed. He even accompanied him when Han-Gill Park went to meet with Dr. In-Soon Park of the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute which was the starting point of the Atomy business. Imperial Master Young-Sung Yoon has been together with Han-Gill Park during all the key moments in Atomy’s history.

윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 교육대학을 졸업하고 지방의 한 초등학교에서 교사로서 사회에 첫발을 내딛었다. 초임 교사에게 있어 지방 초등학교의 교육 환경은 녹록치 않았다. 그는 신앙의 힘으로 어려움을 이겨내고자 기독교 모임에 나가기 시작했다. 그 모임에서 한 고등학교 2학년 학생을 알게 됐는데, 이름은 ‘박한길’이라고 했다.
“신앙심이 아주 깊고 영민한 학생이었어요.”
이렇게 시작된 두 사람의 인연은 그가 중등학교 교사, 대학교수로 자리를 옮기면서도 계속 이어졌다. 그 사이 박한길 회장은 학생에서 사업가가 되었다. 윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 박한길 회장이 사업으로 큰 성공도 거둔 모습도 보았고, 또 실패로 어려워하는 모습도 뚜렷이 지켜보았다. 윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 교육자의 길을 걸으면서도 박한길 회장이 도움을 필요로 할 때면 언제나 달려갔다. 애터미 사업의 시발점이 됐던 원자력연구원 장인순 박사와의 만남 때도 동행했다. 애터미의 역사적인 현장 곳곳에서 함께 했던 것이다.

"Professor Yoon! I think you need to become Atomy’s first member.” Chairman Han-Gill Park asked Yoon to become Atomy’s representative member no.1. Having been an educator all his life with no knowledge or experience in the business field, Yoon did not think that this should be his position. He waved him away saying, “How can I do this if I know nothing at all about business?” but Chairman Park would not back down.
Park told him, “You just have to sit there. I will do all the work.” Thinking back, Imperial Master Yoon smiled saying that moment was the beginning of today’s Atomy system. This is because the company was able to establish a system that provides both training and business support for its Atomy business operators who just stood by. Taking advantage of his symbolic position as Atomy’s member no.1 and his background as an educator, Imperial Master Young-Sung Yoon was mainly in charge of educating Atomy leaders about the history behind HemoHIM’s origin and development at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute in the early days.
“At that time, I did not fully understand what the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute was and why they were making products.”
After attending seminars for a year or two and giving lectures himself, Imperial Master Yoon began to really think about Atomy’s vision. He wondered, “If Atomy aims to become a true premier company, then what is the logic behind that?” As an educator, he decided to search for the answer in the educational system. This is what initiated the research on Atomy’s community of an “organization of lifelong learning.”
Imperial Master Young-Sung Yoon enrolled in a Christian college in the Graduate School of Theology in Toronto, Canada where he researched Atomy’s education system. He earned his Master’s and Doctorate degrees while traveling back and forth between Korea and Canada over the course of six years and wrote his thesis on “The Utilization of Lifelong Learning Organizations to Promote Sanctification,” focusing on the Atomy community.

“박사님! 박사님께서 1번을 맡아주셔야 할 것 같습니다.”
어느 날 박한길 회장은 윤영성 임페리얼마스터에게 애터미의 얼굴과도 같은 ‘대표 사업자’를 맡아 달라 요청했다. 평생 교직생활을 하며 비즈니스와 관련된 것이라면 지식도 경험도 없었던 윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 자신의 자리가 아니라 생각했다. 때문에 “사업을 하나도 모르는 내가 어떻게 할 수 있느냐”며 손사래를 쳤지만, 박 회장도 물러서지 않았다.
“그냥 가만히 앉아만 계시면 됩니다. 제가 다 하겠습니다.”
윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 이 순간이 바로 오늘날 애터미 시스템의 시작이라며 웃음을 지어보였다. 애터미 사업자들이 가만히 있어도 회사에서 교육이나 사업 지원을 모두 해주는 시스템이 정착될 수 있었기 때문이다.
윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 1번 사업자로서의 상징성과, 또 교육자로서의 장점을 살려 사업 초창기 애터미 리더들에게 ‘헤모힘’이 탄생된 한국원자력연구원에 대한 소개와 제품 개발 배경에 대한 교육을 주로 담당했다.
“당시만 해도 원자력원구원이 무슨 기관인지, 왜 원자력연구원에서 제품을 만드는지에 대해 이해가 많이 부족했죠.”
한 두 해 정도 세미나를 참석하며 직접 강의를 진행하는 가운데 윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 애터미의 비전에 대해서 고민하기 시작했다. ‘애터미는 명실상부 초일류 기업을 목표로 하는데, 과연 그 논리적인 근거는 무엇일까?’ 하는 고민이었다. 그는 교육자답게 해답을 교육시스템에서 찾아보기로 했다. 이것이 바로 애터미 공동체의 ‘평생학습 조직’에 대한 연구의 시작이었다.
윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 캐나다 토론토의 크리스찬대학 신학대학원에 입학, 한국과 캐나다를 오가며 6년에 걸쳐 석사와 박사 과정을 거치면서 애터미의 교육 시스템에 대해 연구했고, ‘성화 촉진을 위한 평생학습조직의 활용(애터미 공동체를 중심으로)’이라는 논문으로 박사학위를 받았다.

As Atomy’s business member no.1, his path differed slightly from those of other operators. Yoon took advantage of his strengths as an educator and researcher to focus on helping all operators succeed. He never hesitated to give lectures not only in Korea, but also in any market around the world where Atomy opened.
While he was committed to external work activities, his wife mainly took care of the business internally including running the center. However, whenever Yoon went abroad to give lectures, his wife, now Imperial Master Eun-Sook Bae, always accompanied him and took part in various experiences.
The couple was promoted to Imperial Master in November 2022, the 13th Imperial Master in Atomy’s history. It may be considered somewhat slow from the position of the very first member, but it also believed to be the fruit of steady progress.
From the standpoint of representing all operators, Imperial Master Young-Sung Yoon will always put the success of all members before his own. As long as he is able, he will continue to travel the world to all places where Atomy has opened in order to convey hope to more people who are doing the business. Beyond achieving the success of becoming Imperial Master, Yoon longs to move forward step by step toward building a community where all Atomy members serve, love, and share together.

애터미 1번 사업자로서 그의 행보는 보통 사업자들과 조금 달랐다. 교육자이자 연구자로서 장점을 살려 전체 사업자들의 성공을 돕는데 주력했다. 국내는 물론 세계 곳곳에 애터미가 진출하는 시장이면 빠지지 않고 달려가 강의를 했다.
그가 외부 활동에 전념하는 동안 그의 아내는 센터를 포함한 내부적인 일을 주로 맡아 해왔다. 그러나 그가 해외 강연을 나갈때면, 꼭 아내 배은숙 임페리얼마스터도 함께 자리하여 여러 경험을 나누었다.
윤영성, 배은숙 부부는 2022년 11월, 임페리얼마스터에 올랐다. 애터미 역사상 13번째 임페리얼마스터다. 1번 사업자의 위치로 보면 조금 더딘 편이라고 할 수 있지만, 꾸준히 전진해서 얻은 결실이라고 할 수 있다.
윤영성 임페리얼마스터는 앞으로도 사업자를 대표하는 마음으로 개인적인 성공보다도 늘 회원 전체의 성공을 더 먼저 생각하며, 몸이 허락하는 한 애터미가 진출해있는 전 세계를 돌면서 사업자 한 사람이라도 더 만나서 희망을 전하려고 한다. 이제는 임페리얼마스터라는 성공을 넘어 애터미 구성원 모두가 서로 섬기고 사랑하며, 함께 나누는 공동체가 되기만을 희망하며, 앞으로 뚜벅뚜벅 걸어가고자 한다.
